Ryan Gober joined the Tampa Prep coaching staff in 2026 as Head Swim Coach. A highly respected fixture in the Florida swimming community with over 15 years of competitive coaching experience, he brings a proven track record of elite-level athletic development, program growth, and championship success. He steps into the role with a distinguished background as both a former collegiate swimmer and a longtime assistant coach at the University of Tampa.
A master of athletic development, Gober has consistently elevated his swimmers to the sport's highest echelons. His impressive coaching milestones include developing five U.S. Olympic Trials Qualifiers, a USA Swimming Junior National Champion, and more than 10 FHSAA State Champions. Additionally, he has produced multiple Florida State Record Holders, a USA Swimming National Age Group Record Holder, and mentored a Swimming World National High School Swimmer of the Year.
Gober’s leadership extends across both the club and collegiate circuits. He is the Founder and Head Swim Coach of Tampa Elite Aquatics (TEAM) and previously spent over a decade on the coaching staff at his alma mater, the University of Tampa. An ASCA and USA Swimming Certified Coach, he is fully credentialed in SafeSport compliance and deeply versed in FHSAA rules and regulations.
