The Paige Family Award for Outstanding Student-Athletes in Volleyball will assist graduating volleyball players as they move on to study and compete in their sport at the college level. It honors their achievements as students and as athletes at Tampa Prep, and affirms their commitment to the continued pursuit of excellence in these areas.
Award Criteria & Selection:
Candidates for the Paige Family Award must meet the following eligibility requirements:
- graduating senior on the Tampa Prep Volleyball Team
- formally committed to play volleyball at a collegiate institution (NCAA, NAIA, NJCAA, etc.)
- maintain a minimum GPA of 3.0
- submit a brief personal statement (250 words or less) on how volleyball has influenced their academic, athletic, and / or personal growth
Applicants’ personal statements and other qualifications will be reviewed by the Athletics Department awards committee. This committee will make selections among qualified applicants if there are more than five (5) in a given graduating class.
Award:
Award(s) will be given annually in the amount of $1,000 to up to five (5) qualified recipients. The award will be a one-time grant to each recipient to be used at their discretion in support of their college education and volleyball career.
