Coach DeAmbrose has been a runner since her freshman year of high school. She has coached the Tampa Prep Middle School Cross Country team for 16+ years and the Middle School Track team for 10+ years. She lets her athletes help create the whiteboard workouts each day so they own the training. Running has been a lifelong passion for her, and after reaching a few personal running PRs in adulthood, she moved into ultra racing. In 2018 she completed a 50K ultra race through mountainous terrain in Canada, and in 2019 she completed a 50K in the deserts of Arizona. She runs with students during practice to let them know they’re not in it alone, and also to witness the students as they come together to cheer each other on or push a new runner to not give up.
