Gilbert Sanchez was named Head Coach of the Varsity Tennis programs on Thursday, January 9, 2025. With nearly four decades of experience as a tennis coach, Coach Sanchez brings a deep understanding of the sport and a proven track record of developing players at all levels.
Coach Sanchez is a USPTA-certified tennis professional who has worked with prestigious organizations such as Peter Burwash International and the Harry Hopman Tennis Academy at Saddlebrook Resort. His coaching career includes working with high-ranked juniors, WTA players, and leading programs like the Harbour Island Athletic Club, where he coached for five years.
In addition to his coaching career, Coach Sanchez has competed in satellite tournaments, further demonstrating his lifelong dedication to tennis. His extensive experience and passion for the game will greatly benefit Tampa Prep's boys' and girls' tennis teams.
