SEMINOLE, Fla. – The Tampa Prep tennis teams had a strong showing at the District 10-1A Tournament held at Seminole Lake Country Club.
The Boys' Tennis Team captured the District Championship, earning a spot in the FHSAA Regional Semifinals (
1A Bracket) against Tampa Catholic on Tuesday, April 22.
In individual play,
Raj Dhillon won the Boys' #1 Singles title, while
Will Bomstein and
Owen Stechschulte claimed titles at #2 and #3 Singles, respectively. Dhillon and Bomstein also teamed up to win the Boys' #1 Doubles championship.
On the girls' side,
Gabby Rocker earned the District Championship at Girls' #1 Singles, advancing to the FHSAA Class 1A State Tournament in the Individual Singles bracket, which will be held at Sylvan Lake Park from April 28–30.
