Terps Clinch Lead In Fifth Inning To Defeat East Lake

TAMPA, Fla. - Tampa Prep Terrapins Varsity took the lead late in the game in a 4-3 victory over East Lake on Friday. The game was tied at two with Tampa Prep Terrapins Varsity batting in the bottom of the fifth when Jose Pena singled on a 2-1 count, scoring two runs.

Tampa Prep Terrapins Varsity got on the board in the first inning. Ty Jones hit a solo homer.

Alex Sotiropoulos got the win for Tampa Prep Terrapins Varsity. Sotiropoulos allowed two hits and one run over two innings, striking out one and walking one. Grant Varner threw two innings in relief out of the bullpen. Varner recorded the last six outs to earn the save for Tampa Prep Terrapins Varsity.

Colin Sengkhounmany took the loss for East Lake. Sengkhounmany surrendered four runs on eight hits over four and a third innings, striking out seven.
